A Streetcar is a passenger vehicle that runs on rails laid in city streets. Streetcars were original pulled by horses, and were called horse-drawn streetcars. Today, most streetcars are powered by electricity from an overhead power line or an electrified third rail called electric streetcars. A cable pulls some, such as those in San Francisco.
